Online Banking and Bill Payment Growth

ComScore, an online customer measurement company has discovered that “more han 22 million users logged into accounts at the nation’s top ten banks in the first quarter of 2004, representing growth of 29 percent versus Q1 2003. During this same period, usage of online bank bill payment services has grown by 37 percent.”

With all of these customers logging into online Banking services I wonder how all of the leading Bank’s website’s performance are holding up? Check out keynote’s e-banking performance tool.

Bottleneck Definition

A bottleneck occurs when a server in a web application environment (either an application or database server) does not respond to a request quickly or efficiently. The reason for slow response or poor performance on the part of a server might include the following:

-Experiencing a heavy load
-Performing a task in an inefficient manner
-Lacking the processing capacity to perform the task quickly
